Attention Lexmark Customers

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced a ban on imports from two Chinese companies with alleged connections to forced labor in the Xinjiang region.  One of these companies is Ninestar, the owner of Lexmark.  The DHS stated that the ban was a result of its ongoing efforts to address human rights abuses in the region, particularly towards the Uyghur community. This marks another step forward in the US government's efforts to combat forced labor and human rights abuses in Xinjiang, following several other measures taken by the Biden administration to increase scrutiny of Chinese supply chains and hold companies accountable for human rights violations.
