Every document processed through the system is assigned a unique serial number for tracking and authentication purposes. The serial code element adds a 2d barcode to the document that returns the documents serial number when scanned.
Settings Fields
Size / Position
X: The X value for the top left position of the element. All documents are defined on an X,Y coordinate system where 0,0 is the top left of the document.
Y: The Y value for the top left position of the element. All documents are defined on an X,Y coordinate system where 0,0 is the top left of the document.
Width: The width (distance from X) of the element.
Height: The Height (distance from Y) of the element.
SerialCode Properties
Vertical: Checking this box rotates the barcode for vertical placement.
Include page number: Checking this box will include the appropriate page number in the serial code returned when the barcode is scanned. (e.g. 1234-1,1234-2. Where 1234 is the documents serial number and 1, 2 is the page number)
Foreground Properties
Color (): The color the element will use. Colors can be selected using a color picker, Hex value, or RGB values.
Background Properties
Color (): The color the element will use. Colors can be selected using a color picker, Hex value, or RGB values.
Remarks
- Scanning the serial barcode with most QR code readers will return the documents serial number in standard numerical fashion. This serial number can then be manually verified via the activity page.
