Print Tag

Print Tag allows you to add text to the header, footer, left, and right margins of a document. This is typically used to add the documents unique serial number in plain text for tracking and authentication purposes, but can also include any additional text, data capture text, or Job Metadata the user wishes to include.

 

Settings Fields

Alignment

Placement (): You may select between this series of predefined placements for the print tag.

 Padding ():  This value defines the padding added between the defined edge of the document and the starting Y position of the Print Tag text. This value is always in relation to the edge selected in the Placement setting.

Text Properties

Edit Text: Opens the Edit Text Dialog for changing the main text displayed in the element. 

Typography

Font (): Select the font the element will use. Additional language based fonts may be available here based on your Locale Settings.

Color (): The color the element will use. Colors can be selected using a color picker, Hex value, or RGBA values. Alpha (A) defines the elements transparency.

Size (): The font size the element will use.

Case (): Using this control you can force all characters in the element to ToUpper (Uppercase) or ToLower (Lowercase).

Barcode

Enabled: Checking this box adds a 2d barcode to the Print Tag containing the documents serial number. This barcode functions identically to the Serial Code.

Barcode Size (): Select between the standard Large size 2d barcode or a shorter Small version.

Include page number: Checking this box will include the appropriate page number in the serial code returned when the barcode is scanned. (e.g. 1234-1,1234-2. Where 1234 is the documents serial number and 1, 2 is the page number)

Place barcode before text: Checking this box repositions the barcode to in front of the text.
