Installing SecureRx

Download Service Installer

  • Navigate to https://admin.troysecurerx.com/

  • Authenticate using your username and password. If you have not received a user account, contact your assigned Sales Engineer or support@troyrx.com for assistance.

  • Navigate to Resources > Downloads.

  • Download the latest version of the SecureRx Service Client.

Register New Client

  • Navigate to https://admin.troysecurerx.com/

  • Authenticate using your username and password. If you have not received a user account, contact your assigned Sales Engineer or support@troyrx.com for assistance.

  • Navigate to Admin > Clients.

  • Click the New Client button in the top right.
  • Enter the name of the server you are installing on.
  • Click Save
  • Click the View button next to the server name. Leave this window open, you will need this Client ID and Secret for the installer below.

Install Service

Security policies may require whitelisting of the SecureRx domain and I.P. address. The information to provide to the security team is:

  • admin.troysecurerx.com
  • 40.71.11.158
  • Run the downloaded installer as an Administrator by right clicking the installer and selecting “Run as Administrator”.
  • On the welcome screen click Next >.
  • Accept the End – User License Agreement and click Next >.
  • The installer will check the system for missing pre-requisites and display the results. Leave any missing pre-requisites checked and click Next >.
  •  If Ghostscript is not installed on the server, the Ghostscript installation package will be downloaded and ran. Click through the installer accepting all defaults until the installation is complete. On Completing GPL Ghostscript Setup dialog, uncheck “Show Readme”, but leave “Generate cidfmap for Windows CJK TrueType fonts” checked.

If Ghostscript fails to install, attempt to manually download and install it using this link: GhostScript 9.2.2


Depending on the previous install steps you may need to re-click through previously mentioned screens in the TROY SecureRx Service installer.

  • If the server does not use a proxy to connect to the internet click Next > and proceed to the next step. If the server does use a proxy to connect to the internet check “Enable Proxy Configuration” and input the proxy information. Login information can be entered by selecting “Use custom proxy credentials” Click Next > once all necessary proxy information has been entered.
  • Enter or browse to the directory you would like to install the software to. The default path is recommended if possible. Click Next > to continue.
  • Enter the Client ID and Secret from above. Click Next> to continue
  • Click Install to begin the installation process. The installer will install the service and needed support files from TROY. This process may take several minutes. 
  •  You should be prompted to allow installation of a driver during this setup. when prompted, select “Allow” or “Install”.
  • Click Finish to exit the installer.

Enable Testing Print Agent

  • Navigate to https://admin.troysecurerx.com/

  • Authenticate using your username and password. If you have not received a user account, contact your assigned Sales Engineer or support@troyrx.com for assistance.

  • Navigate to Settings > Print Agents

  • Click on the DRX print agent.
  • Under Assign Computers, select the server you have just completed the install for in the dropdown.
  • Click Save.
  • Wait one minute and check the installed printers on server. A DRX print queue should now exist.
