How to Calibrate the Copy Void Pantograph

  • On the server running the TSPE solution run the TroySecurePortMonitorConfigurationUtility as an administrator (Right Click > Run as Admin).
  • Select the port to be calibrated from the dropdown list.
  • Click the Pantograph tab.
  • In the Print Pantograph section, make sure that only Print Pantograph #1 and Print Pantograph #2 are checked. If you make any changes here go ahead and click Save.
  • Click the Standard Pattern Adjustment button. This will open the Pantograph Pattern Quality Adjustment window.
  • In the Print Pattern Density Page For… section check Pattern 1 and Pattern 2.
  • Click Print All Pages. This will print a series of test pages from the printer.
  • Collect the pages from the printer and make copies of them.

Mark the original pages with a colored marker or highlighter so that it’s easy to differentiate the original page from the copied page.

  • Starting with the first set of test pages (They should be clearly labeled which pattern they are for at the top) look for a valid value. The AB characters represent the word COPY on the printed prescription, so you’re looking for a value where AB is fairly well hidden on the original and is evident on the copy.

If you stare at any square long enough you’re going to find the AB. You’re looking for the one where the AB doesn’t immediately pop out when the page is held at normal viewing distance. Hold the page like you’re trying to read a normal page of pt. 12 text, no closer.

  • Enter the value next to the box into the pantograph configuration.
